She is the author of several New York Times bestselling books, and most recently she wrote the book “Miracle Mindset: A Mother, Her Son, and Life’s Hardest Lessons.” The book is about her mindset in dealing with the serious and life-threatening injury dealt to her son by a hit-and-run driver. There wasn’t a great deal of hope that her son would live, let alone recover, but JJ wasn’t willing to give up, and she describes the ways in which she maintained her hope when faced with the unthinkable.
